As Principal and Chief Creative Officer of Kane & Finkel, Bob personally oversees creative and brand development for all accounts at the agency. Bob is highly regarded within the healthcare industry for his intelligent and insightful approach to branding and corporate identity. Bob's continuous involvement in strategic planning helps drive innovative communications solutions that remain sensitive to market challenges and audience mind-set, while consistently delivering highly impactful results. His varied experience in all media forms has contributed to numerous award-winning campaigns for a wide array of healthcare clients such as Merck, GlaxoSmithKline, Roche, DuPont Pharmaceuticals, Genentech, OrthoNeutrogena, and Procter & Gamble. Bob is also an instructor at the San Francisco Academy of Art University and a member of the Board of Directors for the Healthcare Communications and Marketing Association (HCMA).
Jonathan runs the creative department, and oversees the development of client messages, design, and strategic planning. Jonathan’s background includes more than 10 years of healthcare experience and a pre-med degree, and his South Park impressions are second to none.
As Senior Vice President and Chief Science Liaison, Deborah helps manage the medical science team at K&F and is involved in strategic planning and development for various agency brands and for new business efforts. A strong agency background, including experience in both account services and in the creative department as a medical writer and as a copywriter, adds to Deborah’s ability to anticipate and exceed client expectations not just in medicine and science, but in how those disciplines impact the business of pharmaceuticals. Before joining K&F, Deborah was a management supervisor at EvansGroup, and she held other account service and creative positions at Lena Chow Advertising, Vicom/FCB, and Sudler and Hennessey. Deborah holds a master’s degree in molecular biology from Columbia University and earned her BS at the University of Michigan. In a prior life, Deborah was a laboratory researcher at Argonne Cancer Research Hospital and Northwestern University, primarily in the field of oncology.
Jon ensures the medical accuracy and relevance of every deliverable leaving the agency. Jon’s experience in clinical medicine allows him to bring an insider’s viewpoint to K&F’s strategic thinking, and to then craft compelling clinical and scientific stories aimed at a variety of audiences. Jon received his MD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and did his postgraduate medical training in anesthesiology at Stanford Hospital and Clinics. He also holds an MFA from the USC School of Cinema/Television and a BA in physics from Yale.
